I just set up a 12" starfire cube on my desk and I cant decide what kind of fish I want to put in it. I am looking for 1 small fish or maybe a pair.

The tank has about 2" of sand and a nice open rockwork with lots of exposed sand. The centerpiece coral will be a frogspawn with various other softies around it.

So what fish should I put in? So far I am considering:

pistol shimp and goby (probably a yasha and randalls)
pair of clown gobies.
pair fo neon gobies
pair green banded gobies
small groupe of Trimma Cana
a bunch of sexy shrimp (i know they r not fish;) )

What do you vote? If you can think of anything else let me know.

Thanks

oh......this is got pistol/randalli written all over it! (as long as you don't mind the pistol's choice of landscaping of course;)

I took some pics to help u decide. sorry i'm not much of a photographer.

These pictures fail to capture the super cool 3Dness of it, but its all I can do.

That's a really cool tank.

If you have the time and patience, I think the awesome shapes of the rocks call for a herd of dwarf seahorses. :p

thanks Joyce.

the tally so far.....

Trimma gobies 2
Pistol/goby pair 3
clowns get vetoed because the tank is to small in my opinion.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Keep em coming.

How about a nice looking smaller dottyback or royal gramma?

If you're not interested in that, a shrimp goby with a shrimp friend gets my vote.

If you do get a shrimp n goby, you'll need to get another fish to swim around in the tank. How about a pygmy angel

^ I wish. pygmy angels need slots of swimming room, but they sure are purdy.

If I get a Pistol/goby pair I would probably also add a yellow clown goby or something for a little movement up top.

I want to keep the smallest fish possible to create the illusion that the tank is larger then it is.
