I found a crab!!!!

When I looked in to my tank I found a smallish (3-4cm) brown crab that lives in a hole in the LR. It must have come as hitchhiker since I have never seen it before.

Sorry there is no pic but I can't photograph something that shy. Should I leave it there for now or should I remove the LR in which it is hiding and try to force it out?

I would try to remove it myself. Just take a glass, bottle, whatever, and bait it with food. Tip it snugly up against the rocks just after the lights go out. It may take a few times, but most crabs are bad. You can always put it in your sump part of your refugium until you get an id.

Remove it when you can. Follow dc's advice.
I have a crab that I left in my tank because he was cool looking (red w/ black tip claws). This morning I found him eating the dead carcass of my diamond watchman goby (my first fish). I'm pretty sure the crab killed it.

Ouch - sorry to hear, Well thanks for the advise - I'll start trying to catch the bugger this evening and put him in my refugium.

Too bad they're usually evil. I'd have a tank with just crabs if I didn't think they'd all kill each other. They're kind of interesting in their own right.
