I got some BTA hitchhikers

I picked up some liverock from a lfs and these little guys popped out of one of the rocks. They must have been hiding in the holes. The bleached little guy is only about the size of a dime, the other is around 2" across.

Hmm the first one is a bta with pretty good color. The second is not a bta, the red base, tells me its not(can't you see the writing? jk) but thats an amazing hitchhiker, if my lfs even thought here was an anemone in/ on a piece of selling LR they would smash the rock to bits to get the anemone out even if th rock was in your hands.

DivaMan,
Thanks for the reply. I can tell it's a bulb tentacle anemone because during the day it does bulb up, it is just severely bleached. I have seen many bta with red bases. This guy is just very very small and bleached. Hopefully it will grow fast and color up well.

Anyone have any ideas on what to feed the little guy? The larger one is already eating shrimp chunks.

try holding a mysis shrimp at its mouth for a while and see if the mouth sticks to it. It may take a while for the anemone to react at all.
