I had a crab.....

So I had a criminal crab in my previous tank...he has eaten quite a few fish in the past year. He started out as a hitchhiker in my 24 gallon. I lost a couple fish and I didn't know what was going on until one day I saw some feet move between the rocks. I shortly moved across the country and set up a 120.

There were a couple months where I just had my live rock in some rubbermaids with water and a power head. I thought there was no way he could live in there out any light, heaters, or food. Wrong. When I set up the 120 again there he was scampering around the rock and he attacked and ate a cardinal and Gipetto, my cleaner shrimp.

Well I cracked my center brace during a less than intelligent move on my part. So I ordered a new 120 rimless. Can't crack whats not there right? During the months of waiting for the build and getting it all set up I was fed up and ordered a bunch of marco rock. I had them curing in some rubbermaids for a few months. The new 120 is setup with all Marco rock and two pieces of live rock that came from the 24 gallon in California. They had no holes or hiding spots and I thoroughly checked them out, and thus the crab did not make it to the new 120.

I had located two rocks that I knew the crab lived in and I set them outside in a rubbermaid to dry up. It's been about 3 weeks outside living through thunderstorms, hail, and 85 degree weather. This is living Texas I'm learning.

So my question is, do you think this savage murderous crab still lives or is it safe to assume i can cure these two rocks up again and put them back in the tank in a month? My buddies are telling me to put the rocks in the oven at 200 for an hour just to make sure. Thoughts?
