ok i came home today to see my torch coral that i got at big als, i know i should have but it was cheap and it looked cool, with a white film on the where the tenticles would be and when i blow it off there was nothing there. i took it out asap, i have no nirates, phosphate, salt was ok. i had it low in the tank with alot of current. i dont really understand whats the deal. any advice would be great. thanks

Torches don't like alot of current and it actually sounds like it wasn't acclimated properly.

Just my .02

ya they like pretty low flow. even my hammers and frogspawns hate flow.

ditto, ive noticed that they open up more when i cut off all the flow to feed

i was reading on here that they hate flow, damn i wish i had known that before guess i need to some studding before i buy something

Most frogspawns and torches need to be started at low flow/light and slowly acclimated to the more intense light/flow.
