I hate ups for messing up my delivery

I ordered some stuff from marine depot and it was shipped by ups, i was waiting for the package after i got off work today and i checked the status, said:
OUT FOR DELIVERY
Ok so i had someone home for the first part of the day to watch for the package, turned 6pm so i checked the status again...
NOT READY FOR PICKUP ON THE 1ST ATTEMPT. A 2ND PICKUP ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE

Now i say wth has anyone had a problem like this before, i emailed marine depot and asked them if i order anything in the future could i get fedex or dhl, so far no reply yet as im typing this, but does anyone know if md does this? I HATE ups i have had a few problems of them deliving packages a day later, but when it says 10/9/06 OUT FOR DELIVERY why would it say such a thing if it isnt even being delivered, so it shows now above. I am so frustrated about this i have had good luck with fedex and i am wondering has anyone else had this problem?

Have you asked UPS? Generally, the driver is the same person every day. You could ask them too. If UPS is guaranteeing your delivery on a certain day and they don't (for reasons other than weather), you can usually get a refund.

I buy a LOT of stuff online and usually it's shipped with UPS. I've never had that problem before. I would call 1800 pickups and speak to someone and complain. The driver or someone must of forgot to put it on the truck. If you call and complain maybe they'll fix it for you. I doubt md had anything to do with it

Doesn't make sense to me. We have the option to "Driver Release" the package at the residence unless it says signature required. Only thing I can think of is maybe it got misloaded on the wrong package car, it happens occasionally. Usually a good driver will call the center and have someone pick up any misloads so they get delivered. I don't understand when you say "NOT READY FOR PICKUP ON THE 1ST ATTEMPT. A 2ND PICKUP ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE"...any other info you can give?

It's the other way around for me. Fed Ex always beats my aquatic things up. Before Christmas they left my daughters iPod and a check for $8k laying on my back step and didn't leave the usual post-it note telling me so on the front door. I found them 3 days later iced over.

The driver or someone must of forgot to put it on the truck.

We as drivers don't load the trucks, they are preloaded in the AM. Maybe it said it was on his package car, but when he went to find it in the back it wasn't there. Many many drivers do the absolute best they can to make sure everything get's delivered.

Ok i called them up, they said they attempted to deliver the package at 5:53pm well for a fact i was here, out front talking to a friend when a ups truck stopped up the street, then road right past and stoped down the street, and if somehow he did not leave a note saying he attempted to deliver the package. I talked to ups and they have the correct address, i dont know wth is going on, all i say is i better recieve my package tomorow i will be reporting them to the bbb.

I know it can not be md's fault i have ordered from them in the past, but ups sucks especially when im home and they say they attempted to deliver the package when i was standing right out in front of my house.:mad2:

I feel your pain. I live in Wash. D.C. and have had similar problems with UPS. I live on12th Place and for some strange reason they always attempt to deliver on 12th Street. The only remedy to this was to have the vendor place a "HOLD FOR PICK-UP" label on the packeage w/ contact info. I receive a call from the Landover center when the package arrives and go there to pick it up. This may or maynot be an option for you do to other commitments.

I stayed home all day waiting for a delivery. It was around 85 degrees. Near the end of the day, I happened to see it on my porch. They didn't knock or ring the doorbell once. Luckily, my fish was okay, but I have no idea how long he'd been out in the summer heat. I called Drs. Foster and Smith and let them know what happened. I also have seen drivers tossing my box around when the package clearly says "This side up, handle with care"

one time i ordered something with FEDEX and for 3 DAYS its said out for delivery, I have had pretty good expirience with UPS, but yes they have also delivered late too. But I just recived all my RO/DI unit parts today, it came by UPS, the website said it would be delivered today, and it was. I think it depends on where you live, the weather, and the driver and if he/she knows the area.

I have this problem all the time. I've made several complaints aginst my driver for the same crap. I wait home all day and when I check on line to see were the heck my package is, It says dilivery attempt made. what a bunch of BS. Now when I order I request it not be sent UPS. From my personal experinces they are the worst. Atleast were I'm at

Well i recieved my packages today i ordered 1 thing one day and more things the next... Well everything is ok now, the people at marine depot are real nice. Hope next time i order from them nothing goes wrong with ups, because i dont want to pay more to have it shipped fedex :lol:
