I have a leak HELP!!!!

Alright,

I have a biocube29. Today, while adding rock and such, i noticed a little dribble of water coming from where the tank meets the plastic rim. No big deal, drained some water down and sealed it. I used GE Premium Silicone Glue for general household repairs. It is a Type II, 100% silicone. It does not say it has the mildew resistant properties. I let it dry for a few hours and put the water back in. So far no problems. Anyone see cause for alarm or am I good?

If there is not a crack and it was just a leak from it not being properly sealed around the trim then its not a big deal

There a silicone for aquariums. Also, most opinions seem to lean toward a 48 hr dry time.

You might look for a tube of the sealant at the big box stores like HD just for future use.

I appreciate it all. Put water back in after a few hours. No leaks. Did go and scrape all excess silicone off once water was added back in. Came off pretty easy. Now should just have little bit left in spot where water came from. Plus, the smell of the silicone is 100% gone. We shall see

My main concern is that the silicone would hurt my tank. I have no fish in it, only live rock. The tank has only been running for a week and is still cycling. I won't be putting any fish or corals in for another week or two. That is why I scraped all the excess off while still wet. I am just freaking out now for, no reason? Any ideas or help would greatly be appreciated, especiallly if it is comforting.
