I have a new aquarium and a question???

Petsmart has a sale on aquariums. I bought a 40 breeder :dance:. I wanted to know if all the glass was tempered? I called Aqueon and they told me to take it to a glass shop.:facepalm:. I also tried the polerized sunglasses. When I looked at the tank I didn't see any patterns like the back windshield of cars. Also the bottom plate didn't look tempered either. I wanted to drill into the tank for a drain. Any thoughts on the matter?:rolleye1:

Usually the bottom is tempered. I know there is a way to use polarized sunglasses and a cell phone to verify of the sides are or not.

DO NOT drill the bottom of a Aqueon Tank.. Trust me..

If you decide to ignore my warning, please record yourself drilling the tank so we can all bask in the glorious moment

I just got a 40 breeder from Petco, Aqueon as well. I just drilled it on the sides for a peninsula and everything was fine.

That would be funny but NO! I was going to drill the back near the middle.
