Well, this morning I got back from a trip for a week that I was forced to go on. I'm so sad right now the feed order got screwed up that I wrote down for them and my Purple Queen anthias's are dead. I am so destraught i've had them for a long time and they are great eaters and easy to keep you just have to know how to feed them. Does ANYONE know please where I can get a new group of them I can't find them online anywhere and my LFS said something I stopped paying attention after a few seconds of hearing no :sad1:

Sorry for your loss. Did some sort of overfeeding screw up water quality? Or are you thinking starvation? Honestly, if they were doing well to begin with, 1 week of not eating wouldn't have killed them. They are commonly available at many wholesalers, and are inexpensive. I don't see why your LFS couldn't get more. But IMO they require very specialized care, and shouldn't be purchased by casual fish keepers. Not saying that's you, just a general statement :)

I am in Redding California. It was starvation. They only eat (mine at least) cyclops & emerald entree. The person that was here was feeding mysis 2x daily everything else eats that but the queens. :( So they didn't eat for 8 days.

Dankreef.

I was at Quality Marine on Thursday and they had some purple queens. Not a lot but a few. Some were very small. See if any of your LFS purchase from Quality.
