Euro-Reefs sedra 3500 pump. I need the needle wheel impeller to replace the broken one I have.
If someone here has an extra one laying around it will be super... if not up to saltycritters I go.
Did you get your replacement? I was searching for these online and thought i'd pass along... fishsupply.com has the cheapest replacement i've seen (without the modified needle wheel).
I ordered a complete new impeller from The Reef Stop at $40 (with the needle wheel)
And... found out I had another pump that looks similar to the sedra and it works too, so all I need to do is order another impeller and I have complete backup pump.
I also called Euro Reef to see if it was under warranty, but the only thing they cover is the actual needle wheel nothing else, so that kind of bl*ws since it will never break.
I just pulled mine apart at realized how easy it is to get the needle wheel off the old impeller. Going to order 2 impellers from fishsupply.com for 15 bucks each and salvage the old needle wheel. ER makes a nice skimmer, but DAAAAAM they are proud of themselves. they want 49bucks for the exact same needlewheel impeller assembly you can get for 30 at thereefstop.com.
I was told by ER that the needle wheel doesn't always fit right on the new impeller assembly, they recommended I purchase the complete assembly. just a though
I know what you mean, really high in their clouds....
