first let me start by saying I am having the worst weekend with my aqaurium.

I found out I still have phosphated. Been trying to battle this MAD HAIR ALGAE , my shippment of livestock from MD didn't come yesterday and it was supposed to ( took a day off work for it) and last but not least I find a leak in my tank.

I don't even know where to start.

my tank just finished cycling its an 8 gallon nano. I have nothing in there but 5 snails .

I wanted to know does anyone have a acrylic nano up for sale? or where I can get a good one ? I like the truvu nano tanks but wanted to know if i can get one local first

no more glass for me I should of stuck with my gut feeling when I first started to set up.

You should not have phosphates in a tank that is still cycling. If you have phosphate in a new tank, you have to find out where it is coming from. There are only a couple of possibilities: The water, the rock or the sand. This assumes you have not been feeding an empty tank. My guess would be from the water you are using. What water are you using for salt mix and top off? Have you tested the water before using it? Where did the dock and sand come from?
Good luck!

its the water I forgot to add that I was using arrowhead distilled which was fine when I tested it but when I filled my tank it was sparkettes water distilled and thats where they came from. I ran phosguard for 7 days and then I switched water that said R/O deionized water from Vons. and I guess its really not r/o water. I didn't test it before using it because I assumes r/o wouldn't have it. I was wrong so I am back in the same position I was in.

what type should I get since I am only going to need a few gallons

anyone in here have one available?

If you are getting your water out of one water vending machines, the water quality totaly depends on when it was serviced. I have never bought RO water, so I don't know what to suggest. One of my first purchases was a RO unit. Sorry I don't have a small acrylic tank.
