I need some help

Hi,I have a few questions. I have had two tank raised clowns for about 3 months now. They have been wonderful and eating like pigs the whole time. But about 3 days ago they both came down with ich. We added a 15 gal sump at about the same time. It didn't look like normal ich to me, but I am still new at this, it looked larger and more pronounced (sp?). And I noticed today that they have black spots along with the white ones. Most of the other fish are looking just fine. They are still eating like mad.

Does anyone have any ideas, or know what I should do aside from getting them into a qt tank. It's being finished as I type, it would have been finished sooner, but we've both been working and at classes.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I also have this in the Clownfish forum. I just thought maximum exposure would be a good thing.

Are the white spots irregular in shape? It is possible to have more than one parasite at a time. Clowns sometimes get dark spots as they mature. I would hypo in quarantine ALL exposed fish.

Thanks. We are waiting for the water to heat up a bit and we are planning on moving all the fish. I'm also working on pictures.

Ok, here are some pics.

Hard to tell from the photos. Are the fish scratching or breathing really fast? What fish are in the tank? Are they all symtomatic? What is the ammonia reading? I hope it is not amyloodinium. Do you quarantine all new fish prior to adding them to the display tank?

I havn't seen them scratching, and they don't seem to be breathing any differently. All of the fish are in my sig, the only thing missing is a breeding pair of yellow watchmen. The fish with ich are the royal gramma and the six line. The others are still looking ok. We kinda slacked on the qt-ing of new fish. That wil NEVER happen again. I have learned my lesson. I don't think I have a current ammonia reading, I need to make a call to find out.
