I need your skimmate!!

Calling all recruits. I need to test my DIY skimmer with some crud. I would like as close to a half gallon of fresh skimmate. I want crude oil. The darker the better, as I want to know the product this can skim out. I will pick up your juice. I am in Holiday.

hey you will not need that much really. if you put that much into a water tank with your skimmer it will go crazy and fill the sump or container with bubbles. I did it with half a cup and about 2 minutes later the big euroreef lid was comming off and skimmate bubbles and gunk were dripping into my sump. I had to empty the cup about once every minute or 2 . this was a 12 inch skimmer but any skimmer would do the same as long as it works a little. if you have a skimmer running besides this one I would try it out with what you have before you drive.

The reason I want that much, is for repeated testing sessions, and to see if it can keep up with a constant drip of the skimmate.
I have no cup made yet, and need to get one asap.
You home around 6pm?

I will be home from around 4 until about 6:30 or 7. skimmer looks good and like it's performing well. what pump are you using?
