I think I did the right thing? Let me Know.

How is your skimmer working?
High phosphates are the result of either over feeding or under skimming. The reactor will help alot, but I would really check your skimmer to make sure it is working well.

The UV might help some if it's big enough by molecularly disassociating organic phosphate but probably won't help much. The phosphate remover should help but you need to be very careful about rinsing and the amount you use depending on the type you are using. The Red Sea Berlin skimmers aren't the best and I agree that an upgrade in that area might help the most......the UV won't help at all if you don't have a big enough skimmer to pull out the PO4 you liberate.
What was your phosphate reading to begin with and what type of kit did you use to test it?

Chris

That's high if it's correct, but I generally don't trust SeaChem test kits. However, I have no experience with their Phosphate. I use the Merck kit myself and it doesn't go that high. Be careful running GFO, too much too soon can do more harm than good, esp. if you keep SPS. Your "current tank" description is spot on!

Travis,
If you are coming to the meeting in the morning bring a water sample from your tank. I will bring my Hanna phosphate colormeter and we can test you level. It is very accurate and will quantify if your test kit is giving you the actual level. There is nothing to compare, it just gives you the actual reading.
