I want so many i have to rip them out occasionally, lol (that way i can frag and give to friends) plus i have them anchored to there own huge rock i want it absolutly covered!

Are you sure you want this weed to take over. They grow over my zoos I wish I can find a way to eliminate them :D . They seem to like moderate to high flow to spread quickly.

yes...I have to peel this stuff off rocks all the time...I don't know what else you have in your tank, but it will pretty much mow over anything. I think it looks neat on the back of the glass...I had it like that for awhile

I have done nothing to mine and they have grown pretty fast. I started with nine and now have aprox 60 +. The first picture is from April when I got it from my LFS for free. Ifigured with a little time, patients, and TLC I could have a colony without paying for it. LOL, poor penny pinching reefer geek, I know it's sad but I have come to grips with it. Anyways over the last month they have developed alot more probably because they have more polyps and area to spread from versus the nine at the begining.

I JUST got better lighting so hopefully it will give them the spark they need to take off... i went from barely 1 watt per gl to 4.38w per gallon....i have 2 types of stars growing on rocks and another piece thats MIA so 3 types total, mostly really small pieces though, the green ones are the colony i have, about the size of a baseball.

jpgwold you arnt the only penny pincher out there trust me, it took me 10 months to upgrade my lights

WOW what a difference going from 2 watts per gallon to 4.38 does! only had this on for 6 or 7 hours full power and during that time the entire rocks purple coating became star polyps although beit some very tiny ones, but i can tell the lighting will make a huge difference on this one. Soon enough i bet ill be fraging
