Iceland Shots

I had to go a little heavier than I like with the exposure adjustments but the lighting was tricky for me (overcast but bright) and I was very inexperienced with the ND filters since it was my first time using them. Any constructive criticism or advice is welcome
Otherwise, I hope you enjoy them half as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Very nice set. I really enjoyed all of them. Seems like a very lovely place. How long was your vacation?
As far as C&C, the first airplane shot is a real stellar shot. That'd be my #1 pick but all of them have their own great merits. Some seem are hazy which hurts the shots a bit but there's really nothing that can be done about those.
There was a great opportunity in the 4th shot with the colorful house. I really wish you could have gotten closer and placed the subject in a much more flattering composition.
As far as the ND filter ones, You definitely got the technique down with silky water, but the one thing I will warn about is the havoc this wreaks with WB. Almost all, except for B&W filters I have used have that redish hint and it is difficult to correct in PP many times.
Sled dog shot is really nice. Gives you a good sense of experiencing the environment.
all in all, i think you did an excellent job.

We spent 10 days driving the ring road starting in the west, following the coast counter-clockwise and stopping in the east before returning back to the capital city. Really appreciate the feedback on the shots.
The plane offered really dramatic subject matter. The bright sky and the black sand made the plane pop out so it didn't really matter how I photographed it...they all seemed to come out right (it did all the "work").
The colorful house was fenced off, unfortunately. I was able to get closer but I never really found a great vantage point to show the isolation, the contrasting colors AND the near adsurdness of that house being where it was. I might have one more that is a little bit closer...I'll see if I can dig it out and post it.
A LOT of my shots with the ND filters came out with a reddish hue. I was able to dial some of it out by adjusting the temperature but some were either too far gone or it messed with the overall photo. I strike most of them up to inexperience though. They were cheap filters with a medicore photographer
Thanks again for the feedback and for the kind words. It's easy to take nice pictures when the subject matter is so stunning. I felt a bit spoiled after a few days of seeing nothing but amazing things. "Oh there's another waterfall..." or "Oh look, ANOTHER mountain view..." Simply one of the most amazing places I've ever seen or been to.

Off the top of my head, I know it was a US military cargo plane that crashed shortly after take off in 1973. All crew survived as far as I know. I'm not sure what brought it down or why they never removed it off the beach, though. Makes for interesting pictures though! It's a popular spot but it's about an 8km walk from the closest parking area. Unfortunately, some people climb all over it or write stuff on it...kind of takes away from the site if you ask me.

That last house shot is a much better one I think. The only thing detracting from it is that rock (?) right under it. If you happen to know your way around PS, you can clone that out easily.
