ich and bacteria infection?

My yellow tang has a few white little spots that i believe is ich. He also has a slight brownish patch towards his tail. I believe to be the start of a bacteria infection. I will be putting him into qt tommorrow nite. Was just wondering what i should treat him with. Something copperbased? Will try to post a picture..

I suspect most people would recommend hyposalinity over copper ... hyposalinity is easier to administer and copper is is considered chemo therapy and some say it is hard on the fish.

Bacterial infections are sometimes a by-product of parasite infections .. the open wounds made by ich and other parasites are ideal spots for bacteria to create problems. Many minor bacterial problems will resolve themselves ... however if they don't clear up on their own then using an antibiotic may be beneficial.
