I have read all that I can find on this subject and i realize that my best option would be to remove all my fish and put them in a qt for 45 days.Problem I have only 1 spare tank at the time and I am curious to know if I can take the fish with signs of ich qt him and watch the others closely for 45 days reintroduce the fish with ick and if he shows no signs over a period of say 3 months am I ok? The fish with ich is my newest fish bought last saturday so he is one week in my tank, with no signs untill today , has the ich already infested my tank? Help me if u can I am off work mon and that will be my best chance to do this right. I do not want to lose a fish or all my fish . Please don't say, "If u had qt him to start u would not have this problem ." , thats already been established.
Thanks

Your best bet would be to put into a QT tank for 4-6 weeks, use Hyposalinity method. Slowly acclimate them down to .009. Leave them for 4-6 weeks like this. Your fish should do fine. The other method would be to use copper. This is very harsh on scaleless fish and angel's, so use caution. I've used before and had great results, but you must monitor daily and musn't use to much, or you could have a total loss. Only use copper in a tank you will never keep LR or reef fish. Hyposalinity is the best method. You will need to leave your main tank fallow for 6 weeks. And you know to QT all new members after this point. Don't worry, i did the same exact thing when i started, a freakin nightmare! Good Luck!
