Hi all,

Well i did the big no no, i added a fish before QT and its been down hill ever since. I think this was about 4 weeks ago.

I had 12 fish at the time and now im down to 6 today. Im running a fish only tank so i treated my DT as i don't have a QT tank & not going the coral road or inverts. I only started treatment with seachem copper on the 3rd and upped the dosage very slowly until i got to around 0.4pm by the 10th.

Only one fish a blue tang showed signs of ich spots but most would rub them selfs off rock. But as the days went by other fish whould just hide and only come out now and then, at feeding time ect.

At the moment i have one molly & goby that are out and about all day like noting is wrong. And i have 2 yellow and 1 blue tang + a chromis that hide all day long. The 4 fish that are hiding show no signs of ich on their body and only the blue tang had spots on him from the start but they cleared up a week ago. Im very worried about the 4 that live out of sight behind rocks.

Is their anything else i can do, i have treated the tank and feed with garlic and vits in their food each day. Is all i can do now is just wait ? i also only turn lights on for 3hours a day max.

The one thing to do is get a QT/HT and treat these fish properly. Because rock & substrate absorb copper; proper dosing is really impossible in a DT.. If you're rapidly losing fish, this could be velvet.
