ICH/hawkfish question

So I used to have 6 fish in my 75 gallon tank, unfortunately one of the new comers (even after being QTed) infected the tank with ich (perhaps I didn't QT long enough) but I digress

the short story is that I lost five out of the six fish to this disease, the last fish standing is a flame hawkfish who, unlike the others, has not shown any signs of the disease. I have read that hawkfish are/may be immune to ich my question is...

if the flame hawkfish is immune to ich do I still need to remove him from the DT in order for the ich to die out of the DT?

If the ich will not attach itself to the hawkfish will it eventually die off in the same 8 week period?

Sounds more like velvet given the timeline and large number of deaths. But the ONLY way to remove a parasite in your display tank is to remove all fish.

Where did you read that Flame hawks were immune? I have a pair and both showed ich soon after arrival and were treated in my QT.
