Hi I just recently bought a baby tang from my lfs andni think it has ich he's in qt right now with a trigger what's the best wat to treat him the qt is 10 gallons and has and air stone and filter

A tang and a trigger in a 10 gal tank?! This sounds like the beginning of a "guy goes into a bar" joke. Seriously, I'd really try to put them both in a larger QT before you treat.

Can't only tank I got and the tang is 2-3 and the trigger is 1 inch

Go buy one of those Seachem Ammonia badges and do daily WCs. If you're sure it's Ich, treat with Cupramine for one month. I wouldn't try hypo in a tank so small due to fluctuating SG from the evaporation. Treat replacement water from the WCs with Cupramine.

Have one of those and test ammonia daily along withnnitrite and nitrate and I'm not 100% sure it's ich put pretty darn the spot are not pure white but are visible the trigger does not have any spots bu he came from the lfs sohes in qt I will start treatment tomorrow will petco have the medicine and thank you vary much

Any decent LFS should have cupramine and a copper test kit (SeaChem or Sailfert). Just a heads up; a trigger and a tang are generally too big for a 70 gal tank. A 70 is really a small SW tank and I'd stick with smaller fish. Did you buy these fish at Petco? BTW, no reason to test nitrate in a QT, nitrate doesn't hurt fish; at least at any level in a QT.

I agree. No way should any trigger go into a 70 gallon tank. Most tangs also would not do well in that sized tank; some will do very poorly (swimmers)

The trigger is really small and the tang is 2 inches it's a kole tang and a hum a bursa trigger my dad s favorite fish I just bought copper safe

With a QT tank that small you really shouldn’t have more than one fish in there at a time, regardless of the size of the fish. That’s an incredibly small tank and the ammonia can get out of hand quickly with smaller fish, not to mention two fish that have a pretty heavy bio load.

Tangs in general don’t like a QT process, and most of that seems from my observations to be from living in a smaller tank for a few weeks. You should be able to upgrade that 10 gallon to a 20 long for a small amount of money and provide a much better qt environment for both of them. Better yet get the 20 long and toss one fish in each QT tank.

As said by others, your main tank is also too small for both of these fish. That Kole tang should be in a 90, as should the trigger. Both of them together would likely requite even more swimming room…

Also
what's the best wat to treat him
You'll need to treat both of them for ich as they'll both have it now.
