Ich in DT, do I keep QTing?

So I have a fish QT program I have followed religiously for the last 7 years or so.

3 days metronidazole,
4 weeks copper
1 week prazi

No signs of ich until a couple weeks ago after I added about 50 corals at once. I am assuming it came in on the corals/rock attached to them. (I don't have a good coral QT program and need one now.)

I now have 1-4 spots of ich on my pbt and achilles. I was planning on seeing if the problem can stay at a low level and pretty much ignore it since pulling the fish would be difficult in the size tank I have and if it's just a low level problem, probably safer to let it lie.

The question is, when adding new fish, do I bother putting them through the copper or other ich treatment if ich is already in my tank? I want to add some pipes/mandarins which are a nuisance to QT.

Are there different, perhaps more virulent strains of ich that I would want to keep out and continue to QT as before, or if I have ich, I have ich, why poison the fish with copper or stress them with TTM?

thanks!

TTM will be your best option to rid ich. Also you need to let your DT go fallow for at 72 days. I know some hobbyist recommend 90 days. If you let them stay in the DT, ich will always be present and anything can cause a outbreak. Just because the fish don't show signs, mean it's gone.

I've done the fallow thing before and don't want to do it right now unless things get much worse. So far no losses, only a few spots.

I'm more wondering if I should keep QTing new fish or not?

I'm having the same issue right now. I think I brought in ich on a coral since I was very careful to QT all fish. I was hopeful they would get over it even though I knew it would still be in the tank but that didn't happen over the course of a few weeks it just got worse. Some fish never showed signs while other became covered. I have started pulling all my fish and plan on going fallow for the recommended duration.
