ich on live rock??

Theoretically, one stage of the ich cycle (waterborne, as opposed to attached to a fish) could come to rest on live rock - or anything wet, for that matter - and be transported in this way from one system to another. My understanding is that it is not something we would likely see.

Yeah, my understanding is you can't see the cysts on the live rock, unless you search with a microscope or something. One of the reasons why it is a good idea to let a new tank with live rock cycle for 6 weeks without fish to let any possible Ich go through the cycle and die.
