Bought two clowns each from different LFS
My ORA oscellaris clown is fine.
The wild caught clown from bali came with a white spot on his pelvic fin. 1 week later i noticed another white spot on his pectoral fin. The later spot is larger.
I don't think it's ich because he has never flashed or scratched himself against anything. He doesn't have tiny white spots all over his body in the week that i had him. He eats aggresively and swims fine.
1 week ago I was cautious and removed both clowns from my display and put them in a hospital tank. Dosed Cupramine Copper. Been feeding them garlic infused spectrum pellets with occasional spirulina brine.
The original white spot on his pelvic fin has been there for approximately 3 weeks now. Shouldnt it have fallen off if it was ich? The two white spots are still there! What is it it? I heard it could be lymphocysts.
The ORA clown never contracted visible signs of ich but two OTHER ORA clowns I bought with him died shortly after entering the tank. They flashed occasionally, had rapid breathing, and were lethargic. They never had visible ich either though. I chose small clowns maybe they were stressed from shipment or just prone to dying.
I added the wild caught clown approximately 2 weeks after the two ORA clowns died.
Here are the pics of the infected wild caught clown. Notice the white spot on his pelvic and pectoral fin. The pectoral fin spot is rather large for an ich spot don't you think?
How do I treat this and when can I move them to display?
