Ich or not Ich

I got a Kole tang about a month ago and even though I never noticed it at the lfs, when I had him home in my tank it appeared that there were white, almost fuzzy like spots on his fins. I have been watching and most of it has disapeared, however, his pectoral fins are still not clear. There are white patches, maybe a sixteenth of an inch across. It isn't like spots on his body, only on his fins. I set up a hospital tank but, have not added any medication or the fish yet. Could this be Ich or something else. Would like to know if placing him in the hospital tank is necissary, and what should I treat with?
I should also add that he is eating normally and I haven't noticed excessive scratching or odd behavior. All other fish in display are fine.

Its probably ich. You should start using your hospital tank as a QT tank so you can decrease the chance of introducing diseases to your main tank inhabitants. You can treat ich w copper or hyposalinity.

If he starts to twitch or rub on your live rock it could be ick, But a QT tank is the best way to rule out if its ick or not.

In my expierience.......When you have cloudy looking fins and notice nothing else on the body flukes are a possibility. When I had a blueline in QT it had spots on it fins but within a couple days they were all over his body. That help to diagnose crypt as my issue. If the cloudy spots stay on the fins for more then a week or 2, I would lean towards flukes. Nothing is a sure thing in this hobby, so be prepared to treat both crypt and flukes.
