So it all over the fish yesterday and I had no meds treated it with copper power last night but 2 of the reef blue chromis don't look like they're going to make it. Also I might have double dosed the copper power so I did a 2 gallon water change after and the app test looks to be in between 2 ppm and 4 ppm dosage should be at 2.5 ppm.

yep ich. pat yourself on the back for QT'ing fish!

good luck with them. i had an even heavier infestation than that (from what I can see in your picture anyway) a couple weeks back and was lucky for all the fish to make it. i just did TTM rather than copper. took about 4 days for the white spots to slow from appearing and then a couple more days for them to all go away.

i felt so bad for the fish, just looked so painful!

No damn tank crashed this morning took out 2 of the chromis. Ammonia spiked to almost 2.0 and but I just started the copper last night must have crashed the tank.

What did you test for ammonia with? Cupramine gives a false reading on the API test kit.

No I keep losing fish I guess I am screwed and I don't know what to do I am down to 2 fish left and the ammonia levels keep rising I guess copper is crashing the tank. What ever cycle it had is now gone. Need help

Copper doesn't cause a tank crash or for ammonia to rise.

Are you doing WC's on the QT system?
How much are you feeding?
Are you siphoning out the uneaten food? I have to do this 2x per day.
How did you establish a biological filter in the system?
Good aeration is a must. I use oversized sponge filters in my QT along with a HOB filter to provide plenty of surface agitation for gas exchange.

No I am not siphoning out the uneaten food and I feed them twice a day. Not sure what happens that original night I dosed Copper power thought I might of dosed to much did a 2 gallon water change. Woke up about 7:30 two of the Chromis were acting weird. Came back at 11 both of the were dead and ammonia badge changed colors was green checked the ammonia levels and they were at 2.0 according to API. So I did a 3 gallon water change followed by a 2 gallon little bit after and another 3 gallon water change later that day.

Ammonia still reading at .25 to .50 did a another 5 gallon water changed added more cooper little less of a dose 3rd fish Aanthias dies ammonia still showing up at .25 to .50 scrap that tank moved them over to a 20 gallon long tank thats been established as little bit of live rock and inverts.

Going to be taken out the inverts but keeping the 2 orange size Live rock and will be using that as QT little later if the fish survive might go ahead and teart proazipro in case it was not the ammonia or the ich that killed the fish.

just checking, you didn't dose Prime or AmQuel or any chemical to remove ammonia while copper was present did you?

How big is the tank? Two or three gallons isn't going to do much to lower the ammonia levels. An ammonia-lowering water change should be around 50%.

What do you hope to gain by dosing Prazi Pro? If there are no external signs of flukes or other worms then it's going to be a waste of time.
