ich possibly?

My blue tang I believe has ich I'm not sure. I have 7 or 8 other fish in the tank as well as a yellow tang and not other fish have visible symptoms of ich so I'm not sure if that's what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Picture is not clear. Please describe the appearance, behavior and history of this fish as well as the last wet item added to the tank.

Sure...blue hippo tang is very active voracious appetite still. Not acting out of the ordinary besides had white specks on him. Some look black but don't kno it that'd because they are on the black portion of his color too. My last addition to tank was 2 weeks ago we bought a yellow tang. We've had him for about 6 months no issues. He seems to have these specs in one of his eyes as well.

It seems that way yes...he didn't have any ich on him when I got him and they fw dipped him before they bagged him and he doesn't even have it that'd what's confusing

A fresh water dip does nothing for ich. It will help to diagnose flukes but will have no effect at all on ich. And ich does not have to be visually present as it can be in the gills.

Gotcha...so best bet is pull them and hypo salinity treatment?

Unfortunately, if you want to fix the real problem you have to pull all the fish and treat all of them and the display tank. The DT will have to be ran fallow (no fish) for 72 days so you can starve the ich to death. If you don't the ich can just come back later when another fish gets introduced or stressed and becomes susceptible.

The treatment is up to you. Hyposalinity works so does copper or other meds. Steve likes the transfer tank method. It's 100% effective if done properly.

Alternatively, you could treat the DT with copper or some sort of med like paragaurd or ick-shield but this often is not a reasonable option because it will kill all the invertebrates.

I would rather just go fallow in DT because I have anemones and about 16 frags of sps. I have about 8 fish what would be a reasonable size tank for hyposalinity...I'd rather do that than use chemicals...I'd don't like them and if there's another way to do something without chemicals I'd rather do that
