ich question

I had a small clownfish in my 20 gallon tank and it died from ich a few days ago while i was out of town for a few days. There currently are 6 hermit crabs and one snail living in the tank and i've been told ich can still be hiding in my substrate. just wondering when can i add another fish to my tank?

You need to wait 9-10 weeks before adding anymore fish so that the Ich living in your substrate (and elsewhere) can starve to death and die out.
