Curious to learn a little more about this..Couple of questions..if you have a fish that has ich and you use copper for treatment; what if:
1. the fish dies during the 1st couple of treatment days, would the other fish in the tank will be affected even though they may not show any initial signs being sick. In that case should you continue to treat the tank accordingly to prevent it from spreading even though the sick fish is dead and removed?
2. Does this disease lock itself onto one fish and once that fish is removed the tank should be fine. I guess the question should be; is the water affected by Ich or is it just the fish; how does it spread from one fish to another; or does the water get contaminated (dont know if thats the right word to use) and anything that comes in contact with the water will eventually be affected..
Just looking for some quick answers on some basic questions; if I run into this problem I'd like to be aware of as much as I need to know...Thanks!
