ICH story and request for advice

I have a 120 gal reef wannabe tank that I started about 7 or 8 weeks ago. I did all of the classic cycling (before fish) and checking of chemistry, etc. and finally introduced fish about a month or so after starting. Initial stock was cleanup crew of snails and crabs, 2 cleaner shrimp, 1 crocea, 1 derasa, 1 BTA, 1 carpet anemone, 2 ocellaris clown, 1 six-lined wrasse, 1 spotted mandarin, 1 flame angel, 1 yellow tang, and 2 blue tang.

Surprise surprise, blue tangs showed ich after a few days. I moved all of the fish except the wrasse and dragonette to a hospital tank and started chelated copper treatment. Within about 3 days, the tangs all died. The angel and clowns all seem to be doing fine at this point.

Did the copper kill the tangs?

I did a bunch of PWC's in the hospital tank (every other day and ongoing) and am reducing the copper level and salinity and switching over to hypo salinity to treat. I've just ordered replacements for the lost fish.

Can I introduce the replacements to the hospital tank in established hyposalinity at SG= 1.009 - 1.0010 and quarantine and treat them (as a preventative) along with the original crew for 4 - 6 weeks?

Am I asking for future trouble by leaving the wrasse and dragonette in the DT? (I've heard they are both very unlikely to harbor cryptocaryon)

I'm really worried about new tangs and their response to a hospital tank. I think I've diluted the copper enough that it shouldn't affect them.

Am I going down the right path?
