I've been fighting the Ich battle in a 75gal fowlr picasso trigger, lunar wrasse, spotted hawkfish and have moved yellow tang to a different tank now that the tang is healthy again. It may be extreame but here's what I did. trigger, hawk and wrasse are now in a 75 gal fish only with water. sand and live rock have moved to a tank of its own with filter and light. I've been doing frequent small water changes in the 75gal to keep water conditions under control. If I understand the Ich cycle correctly the Ich should run its cycle in both tanks in 4-6 weeks due to no food in the rock tank and no place to breed in the fish only tank your thoughts folks and did I do this right?

No. You need to treat the fish for the ick with copper or hypo. If I understand you correctly, you think the ick will not be able to completet it's life cycle in a barebottom tank? This is incorrect. The fish need to be treated and your rocks sand etc need to go fishless for 4-6 weeks.
