Started cupramine treatment yesterday for my ich issue. Question is how long till I start seeing the white spots go away? I know it's not gonna happen overnight.

Started cupramine treatment yesterday for my ich issue. Question is how long till I start seeing the white spots go away? I know it's not gonna happen overnight.

Visual improvement is not meaningful. You need to keep it at therapeutic dosage for 4 weeks followed by 5 weeks of observation. Test nightly before lights go out.

I fully plan on that, was mostly wondering how long it takes for the spots to fade.

They could start to fade even without treatment. The spots are not the actual parasite and seeing the spots disappear depends where the parasite is in its life cycle. Could be 5 mins or 5 days; could even get worse before it gets better.

I knew the spots are the fish' skin reaction to the parasite, that makes since about the time line. Thank you!
