ICH/ Wrasse question

ICH got me:angryfire: I lost 2 fish and all that's left is a 6 line wrasse. I moved it to OT tank. My question is it's not showing any signs of infection at all. Do I need to do a hyposalinity treatment or not? I'm leaving the tank fishless (just snails & a blood shrimp left in it) for eight weeks. It's a 29BC with a 10 gal sump.

Im no expert but I would treat it , especially since your leaving the DT fallow for eight weeks anyway. Chances are it has been exposed.

A fish can easily have ich and not show it. Ich loves the gills and there are just places on a fish you can't get a good look at. Because your DT mist remain fishless for 8+ weeks; there isn't any reason not to treat it. Copper, hypo, or tank-transfer are the only ich cures that work. I'd give him a week to start eating and acclimating before you start treatment, you have the time. A case could also be made for not treating if it has no signs of ich; however, I'm a firm believer in treating all fish that ave been exposed to ich., they almost have at least one bug somewhere and that's all it takes. (Actually, I treat all fish).

No longer one of my favorite Rock N' Roll oldies. But next week at Lambeau, Chicago---"My kind of Town". Last season, beat the Bears ,(capitalized) just to make the playoffs ; then beat them again to get to the Superbowl. This season, beat the Bears for home-field through the play-offs.
