Ich????

My fish seem to have white spots on them first thing in the morning but then about 2 hours later they are all gone. Is this ich, if so, why does it disappear after couple hours of having tank lights on? This has been going on for days. Could it be something else?

Sounds like ich to me. So long as everything in the tank is in good condition just continue to feed well and keep up with weekly water changes. There is so much to say about the subject, so just do a search on the forums to find countless threads with multiple treatments etc.

Can I do hyposalinity on the DT? I have no inverts or anything I care about living except my fish. What treatment do you use?

Yes, if there is no inverts in DT you can do hypo in DT. Nitrification bacteria are not harmed by hypo if you change salinity gradually.

You have to be honest. Are there no inverts or do you not care about the inverts in the DT? The difference is that even if you don't care if the inverts die, their death and decay will generate ammonia.

If you use hypo, you retain the option of keeping inverts later. If you used Copper, likely it would be deposited onto the substrate, such as live rock.

No inverts. I gave a puffer and was planning on getting a trigger. So I don't even have a clean up crew. Have you done this before for ich treatment?
