Ich??

So i came home to find out my new tank has ich in it. My clown is in it so I started reading on how to cure and its so long I kinda curious on it being broken down for me. And tell me if i am correct or missing something.

First remove fish to a QT and treat with copper treatment for 30-45 days??

Leave the display tank and change any filter media I have??

Is this correct?

And also do water changes?? If so, how much water?

Be sure it is ich. IMO, ich is often mis-diagnosed. IMO, ich has almost become a generic term for anything with spots. Brooklynella (clownfish disease) is a fast acting, deadly parasite and needs different treatment than ich. Just research well and be as sure as you can that you're treating for the right thing.
