I have an ich outbreak. I read a possible treatment is raising tank temp to 81 82 degrees. Is this a possible to supress the parasite?

you're confusing freshwater ich with saltwater ich. freshwater ich can be killed by raising the temperature above 86 degrees, but that same temperature has no effect on saltwater ich. in fact, raising temperature will actually make matters worse by speeding up the parasite's life cycle and increasing the amount of offsprings.

please read the ich stickes on this forum and elect a proper treatment in the QT: hyposalinity, copper, or tank transfer.
