Can Ich protomonts or tomites (outside the fish stages) survive in a QT tank that is emptied and left to dry out? Does anyone know if bleach can be used to sterilize an infected QT (then drained and cleaned thoroughly, of course, before refilling).
Any ich will die off in a dry QT .. but to be honest I clean my Qt after every use with some diluted bleach (cost zip and will kill any nasty bacteria etc) - just rinse well and let dry.
