Ok so here it is right now i have 3 tangs and 2 clown fish and a TON of coral. Currently all 3 tangs are COVERED in Ick

From what i understand this stuff doesnt not just go away on its own in fact it will do nothing but get worse if not treated.

I started feeding them Food that with garlic but i believe that to be just a help not really a fix for the problem.

Short of removing all of them in to a Q tank which will be crazy hard to remove them with all the rocks i have im running out of things to try.

So i heard that Ick Attack is 100% Organic and safe for the reef.. Is this true and do you think it will work with out killing all my coral ?

Yes it's reef safe (at lest in my reef, I have used it).

However it did nothing for my 2 tangs with ICK.

Still trying to get rid of it. I also have a lot of corals and it is next to impossible to get all my fish out of the tank without tearing it down.

Listen to me, there's no question on what you should do except get that Blue Lagoon medicated fish food. The stuff's pretty amazing and fast acting. No harm to my corals. Through the couple of years I've had my clowns I have successfully treated ick and just recently treated them with the same medicated food for a stress realated sickness.
There's a few different brands, I got some advice from B/L website on which one to get. Just get that food and treat them FAST. I'll look for your thank you really soon ;)

Sorry, I was thinking Kick Ich...they all start blending together for me after awhile. I would not treat in the DT.

yes, the Blue Lagoon stuff really works. I'm telling you it's awesome, one of the medicated foods was recommended by a friend for ick and it worked like a charm with all the corals uneffected. I emailed the guy too, (here's the address of the jar; bluelagoon8@optonline.net) I incorporated the blue lagoon regular food into my clowns' diets now too.

I don't know much about medications, but hypo-salinity does work.
It will kill inverts; if you don't have any, you can treat in the main tank.
I DON'T KNOW what effect low salinity has on corals

If you do have inverts, get your fish OUT of there and into a Quarantine Tank, especially the clowns. I had an ich attack and my clowns were gone before I realized what had happened.

How it works - the ich parasite can't survive below 1.010 salinity â€"œ and it can't survive more than 2 weeks without a FISH host.

Fill a QT tank half full with water from your main tank.

Add 20% non-salt water, & check salinity.
Repeat every 12 hours until your salinity reads 1.009

Keep salinity at 1.009 for at least 4 weeks after ich disappears
check salinity at least daily â€"œ top off with fresh water in necessary
Do water changes with 1.009 water
Keep temperature normal â€"œ not higher â€"œ not lower

ie If your QT is 10 gal - start with 5 gal from main tank - add 1 gal fresh every 12 hours.

The low salinity in QT reduces stress on the fish and kills the ich.

The ich in the main tank will die with no host fish.

After treatment is complete, bring salinity up by removing 20% and replacing it with normal 1.026 water every 12 hours.

I feel your pain â€"œ but it's much better to go through the hassle of catching your fish than picking them up from the bottom of the tank.
