I purchased a kole tang about 2 weeks ago. I did not quarantine. After a while, I noticed that there was a little white spot on its head. 2 days later it was gone. 10 days past and I just noticed white spots all over his nose, his fin and his head.
I have been soaking his food in garlic guard and mixing it with Seachem Metronidazole.
I do have a quarantine set-up but I refuse to rip the whole tank apart to get the kole. I don't want to dose the tank because of my corals, and I don't really have the $$$ to buy expensive treatments.
My kole tang seems very energetic and eats his food like a pig. On the other hand my yellow tang is doing great. I have done a few big water changes to try and suck any eggs layed from parasites.
Will other fish start to get this ich? Will it's immune system be able to totally get rid of it?
