ICK treatment

As far as ICK treatment for my display tank, am I correct?

During the 4-5 weeks without fish letting the ICK run it's life cycle, can I still work on my aquascaping and populate the tank with new corals? I understand ICK doesn't damage anything but fish so it stands to reason this might work. Am I correct, if not please explain my best course of action.

Since I don't have any fish in my display tank, can I attach a 25w UV sterilizer to my tank and eradicate it? If so, how long would it take for my 120gal?

I believe running a UV will help eradicate the Ich, but you'll probably want to still run it fallow for the 4-5 weeks of its life cycle. Adding new rocks or corals *could* bring in more ich cyst, prolonging the cycle if the coral comes from an Ich contaminated tank.

Hey SlickSRT4
Nice to see another Mopar Man out there.
I have tried many things to get rid of Ick including UV, I can't see any diff when I have Ick whether the light is on or off.
However this worked great, didn't bother any other critters and I havn't seen any Ick since.
