ID anenome please

Got a few of these lil guys off the SC coast, on the rocks of the shoreline. anyone know what it is?

Looks a bit like a Sagartia elegans ,,, never heard of them as far south as SC though. If it is S.elegans, it will likely die in a warm reef tank.
 
Not a likely species. It is restricted to the British Isles, Mediterranean, and waters off the coast of Massachusetts.

Correct. Its a Sagartia Elegans species.


Beware what this is located by. It release Acontia- The stinging tentacles found in many sea anemones. When stimulated the tentacles are projected through the mouth opening and through pores in the side walls.
 
they are all sitting on rocks by themselves, and seem to be doing pretty good. all are open and eating. Any sings of heat stress i should look out for?
