Got these two clowns today at petco as maroon

Not at all maroons,

They are either snowflake ocellaris, or a hybrid snow onyx (cross between ocellaris x percula). Since you got them at petco I would assume they are ora snowflake ocellaris

Nice, you got them for free pretty much. They go for 50 each at least.

I would almost say one of both.

Unfortunately no way to tell unless you talk directly to the breeder or find out at petco what they ordered. Species wise they are A. ocellaris and my guess is since they are from petco they are ORA snowflakes. I don't think ORA breeds snow onyx but I could be wrong. Black ice have more black to them.
