Hey guys, SPS ppl told me to check this out with y'all, maybe you can help!

Have a few frags of this coral floating around in one of my tanks, and I'm not sure what it is.
It seems to do well even without light, and the polyps are extended constantly. Some of the frags are partially bleached, but still extended (maybe they are azooxanthellate and simply two colors..?)

In the first picture you can see how it is encrusting, and in the second you can see the polyp shape and skeleton structure. (sorry for potato quality)

Help?

If it's bleached it's photosynthetic. NPS have no zooxanthellae to loose.

Seeing the skeleton and the polyps I would say it's an Oculina, or a memeber of its family. Normally depending on conditions they can grow from encrusting to ball-shaped or branching.

When they are found in low light environments they loose zooxanthellae and become white, keeping most of its energy via capturing food, if placed under light again they recover brown back.

Great coral
