Just saw a little white feathery looking thing come out of one of the polyps of a green button zoa when it was closed up. Went to get my camera and then it sucked right back in. This about 15 minutes after lights on. Ideas?

Barnacle perhaps? A harmless feather duster is another possibility.

Could be a feather duster but it was just one little tentacle, not multiple ones. That one polyp stayed closed, at least for 30 minutes until I left for work. All the others were open

Digitate Hydroid?

Possibly. Trying to do research on them. It's inside of the polyp. It looks more like a feather than the hydroids and was a lot shorter. Hopefully I can get a picture if it comes back out
