looks like encrusting porites. If it's soft, then a sponge colony

Thanks. I'll have to give it a touch next time I dip in. Just "assumed", "encrusting and small polyps" meant SPS. Rock is from a tank buyout(9 months ago). Nothing else but LPS from it. I own about 7 peices SPS and alot are encrusting now, so thought I would ask here.
