ID of a tiny thing stuck to the glass

Hi all

Completely new to the world so sorry if this is in the wrong place. I have a little nano tank that's two weeks in with sand and live rock at the moment.

I have tried to research this but typing "saltwater tank with creature like a brown stick with green leaves" coming out of it did not yield anything

As such I have taken a photo with my micro lens as this little dude is only about 3mm in total.

I'm hoping someone could help me out please

I'd have to guess it's a type of algae.

Check out the Lionfish Lair site for lots of little critter ID.

Hi Dave. Looks like some kind of filamentous green algae, a type of marine plant.
