ID of Hitchhicker

While looking at my tank a lil' while ago, I notice I had a hitchhiker come along for the ride with my LR.

I noticed this guy in the back of the tank. It does move, something spooked him and it jumped a bit. Anyone have any idea what it is??

From the picture it looks no different than aiptasia

That definitely looks like a small aptasia - or glass anemone. Just pump some kalkwasser paste in his mouth and watch him melt like a slug under salt ... it's quite rewarding. Those things will reproduce like mad and choke out the trace elements in your system. They'll sting anything they get near too - kill it soon before you have 100 all over your tank and sump.

That's just my advice ... take it or leave it :smokin:

I would actually scoop it out of hte sand bed and not just kill it .... remove it all!

You have a beautiful bouncing baby aiptasia, congratulations! Now scoop the little sucker out and flush 'em down the toilet

I haven't been able to find this guy since I took the picture. Any tips/tricks to luring him out?
