Not sure if its clear but this frag is bright yellow with red polyps. anyone know the given name as well as the scientific one? Thanks

Also whats the best placement for this? PAR?

its montipora.. confusa or undata.. or one of the other plating montis..
very adaptable to different lighting. probably be a little more intense if placed higher up but certainly doesn't need acropora type intensity
its very pretty! I assume that's a pic under blues with yellow filter?

Thank you that's actually under full spectrum about 50/50... Its yellow no filter thats why I posted it as i never seen a Monty with these colors.

There were a few of these I remember coming in a long.time ago (2009-2010). Common names were reverse sunset and Grinch, fire engine, Forrest fire.

It was right after the chili pepper/seasons greetings morphs came.

I don't think all of them got named but there were a couple that had more of a yellowish green skin and a couple that had more of a bright yellow skin.

If yours is super bright it's prob a Forrest fire. The yellow vs green base isn't the most reliable indicator from what I remember as it's somewhat sensitive to PAR.

Cool coral!

Reverse sunset monti is a good guess. the back color is anywhere from light green/yellow to a darker green depends on lighting with orangeish reddish polyps. looks like its under leds with lots of blues.
