I dont think that its a Corallimorph... it looks to me to be a flower or rock anemone. They are native to the carribean and pretty easy to care for.
 
They don't get huge but maybe 7-8" across easily is the largest I've seen so far, I'm sure they get a little bigger than that but not going to take over your tank or anything. They do move like nems do to find a spot.
 
Oh... so he is going to have to move out of my small tank and into the large one.

Is this pretty purple with green tips common?
 
mini carpet... as in 'stays small' or mini carpet as in 'small right now'... don't carpets get really big?
 
it's a carpet nem or rock nem what ever you want to call them most get no more then 4-5 inches and spread pretty well. looks to be a pretty color watch them some people consider them as bad as aptaisia
 
It sure is a little piggy. I feed it a few little pellets each day and it loves them.

Any special care I should know about?
