"feed ur reef...feed it!"
found this coral (LPS?) attached to my Blue Sympodium last year when I bought it and this was the size of an eraser head back then and didn't pay much attention to it....
now, months later it has grown quite a bit and it starting to "peek" out a little from underneath my Blue Sym colony...

can anyone ID it?....it is in medium/low flow under the Blue Sym and get very little light since it is living under the polyps.

thanks

i know i'm wrong but it almost looks like pectinia, just because of the thin fleshyness about it. But that may be tough to id until it grows out a little, what happens at night to it? is there any mouths visible that we cant see in the pic?

thanks for the input vette.tech
that's actually not a bad guess imo...after doing a google image search it could very well be a pectinia coral...:)

it really doesn't "do" much during the day or night...no streamers, no visible eyes, no visible mouth....just a fleshy beige skin with metallic green hues and a white skeleton base...

I guess only time will tell. I'm sure more characteristic traits will become more prominent as it grows :)

thanks again for your post
